The overall project is stylized in the shape of the Vietnam map. The project takes the main temple as the central symbol - the place where the nation's roots originated with a stylized bronze drum. The design is reminiscent of the Ngoc Lu bronze drum, surrounded by 18 bows with sculpted patterns, symbolizing the 18 generations of Hung Kings. The main temple block is located in the middle of a circular lake, which is 90 meters in diameter, covering more than 6,500 m2 . The lake represents the characteristics of Western provinces. The main temple is 19.5 meter high (taking the meaning of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19th, 1890), with an area of nearly 1,300 m2, with a circular shape built on a square foundation, symbolizing Heaven and Earth. The main gate takes design ideas from the boat-shaped roof pattern on the Dong Son bronze drum, is covered with Thanh Hoa green stone, has a main door and 2 side doors, above the prominent words "TEMPLE OF THE HUNG KING".
At the temple, delegates listened to the explanations about the process of building the country by the kings as well as the respect of the Vietnamese people in general, and the people of Tay Do in particular, about the Hung King's Fatherland.
